Jonathan „Jon“ Matthew Underdown

Was born at 8th of June 1979 in Fallbrook, California, but raised in Seattle.
He’s lead Vocalist in „Fade“ and second Vocalist in „Yellow Fried Chickenz“.

Jon got into music, especially singing in the age of 2 or 3, by his father singing to him when he had to take a bath. But even being into music, Jon dreamed of being a professional skier, until in 1999, in the age of 19, he had an accident at Lake Tahoe injuring his knee so badly, that he had to burry this dream.
During his Highschool time Jon was lead vocalist for punk rock, ska, reggae and funk groove bands, with whom he also performed on stage.
He was also into all different kinds of music, as for example blues, soul, rock and reggae.
When in 2001/2002 he was about to return to America from an exchange to Japan Rui and Kansei made him listen to their Demo Tapes for „Fade“, and though he didn’t like rock music that much back then, the tapes got his interest and he then joined „Fade“ as the lead vocalist.
Jon is a quite talented lyrics writer; writing songs for TV Commercials, Video Games, Animes and more.
Since June / July of 2011 he is also part of Gackt’s „Yellow Fried Chickenz“, but he has worked for them already before, since he is the author of the English Version of „Mind Forest“ and was the narrator and translator of the subs in the documentary DVD „The Graffiti - YFC in Europe“.
