Val Rosing

Val Rosing (1910-1969) was a 30s English "dance hall" singer who is best remembered for his vocal on the song "The Teddy Bears' Picnic" (recorded with the Henry Hall Orchestra).

In 1937 he emigrated to the United States where he changed his name to Gilbert Russell. He was less successful there although he later had some success singing light opera roles. His real success however was as a voice coach: by the 1960s he was one of the most sought after coaches in Hollywood.
