Tilterworld

Since the early 90s, Lonny Paul (better known in the glam world as Lonny Lovett) has been shaking up the underground rock scene of Los Angeles with his musical projects. At the age of 16, he was already leading the now cult Heart Throb Mob, and a little later he was noticed on the album of another underground glam formation, Foxy Roxx, as a backing vocalist. In addition, he was the frontman of The Endorphins, Superficials and The Sinthetics, and also, already as a guitarist, was noted on the albums of Steven Adler's solo projects (Adler's Appetite and Adler). All this made Lonny Paul one of the main figures of the Hollywood glam scene of the 90s. And that's not to mention the bunch of songs he wrote for other Los Angeles bands and TV shows. One of his most notable projects was Tilterworld, a band he created together with Stevie Deluxe (The Space Age Playboys), which was originally called The Sinthetics. They released a demo under this name, and then, having finally completed the line-up with Michael Thomas (Engines Of Agression, Beautiful Creatures, Adler’s Appetite, Fastback) and Jamie Keene (Fastback), they changed their name to Tilterworld.

Tilterworld’s sound differed from Lonnie Paul’s other projects – unlike Hearth Throb Mob or Sinthetics, they were heavier, sang about all sorts of depressive moments in life and would have looked perfect on MTV in the first half of the 2000s, when alternative rock ruled TV screens (and teenagers’ minds). Despite everything, their music clearly echoes the musicians' glam-punk past here and there, and most of the songs have easy-to-remember sing-song choruses.

Like the rest of Lonny's bands, Tilterworld had a very short life and, after releasing their only studio album "Vicious Circles" on Fastlane Records in 2005, they broke up (or just disappeared into thin air... I doubt they made an official statement!). Whatever the case, Tilterworld became another milestone in the musical careers of some of the most important musicians in the glam world, and their songs will help you survive another shitty day at school, or, for example, a breakup with a hot girl!

Line-Up:
