THE DOSE is a two-piece rock band, hailing from Los Angeles, California. Guitarist / singer Indio Downey and drummer Ralph Alexander make nineties-inspired music, influenced by Nirvana and Led Zeppelin among many others. Downey's vocals have been compared to the "full-throated charisma" of Kurt Cobain and the melodic mood of Layne Stanley.
The band originally formed as a trio in 2014, but released their first single, "Cold Hands," in late 2015 as a duo. The second single, "Turth Lies Inside" came out in mid-2016, followed by their self-titled six-song EP.
In mid-2018, the band started releasing new material, beginning with "Vervain" in June, "Thrill of It" in July, "Saline" in August, and "Drown" in October, each accompanied by a music video. In January 2019, THE DOSE headed to Europe supporing Good Charlotte, announced their first full-length album and released a fifth single off the album, "Tart."
Released on March 15, 2019, the LP is called "Saline," comprises the title song and 11 others, including all 2018 and early 2019 singles.
