The 331 is an American based rap group from the Chicagoland area. Known for their eccentric flows and psychedelic production, The 331 was founded in June of 2018 by members J Three, LQ, and Fry. They began writing raps in their basement, putting together amateur mixes and attempting experimental song styles to discover their love for creating music. Their 2023 mixtape release Where Are You Now was a culmination of years of singles and demos on Soundcloud while they were young teenagers. This album featured production from J Three and was a glimpse into what The 331 has in store. Their project Where Have You Been is rumored to release in the summer of 2024, which will serve as a prequel to the narratives that are founded within their first mixtape. Uniting themselves with the intergalactic electronic hip hop producer Chef Gordy, and up and coming lyricist Setty Da Stuntman, The 331 finds themselves part of the Hip Hop collective of Junta Crew.
