Artist Detailed Info: Subliminal Tracks

Subliminal Tracks comprises two humans. The duo compose music as it is one of the only ways to escape the harsh reality of reality. They feel that western music has been confined by the quantization of harmony and rhythm.

Continuum harmonics is the name that one of them has given to the new range of possible harmonies described by beat patterns. Continuum harmonics is still in the early phases of development.

Rhythm of western music was and is mostly made up of an unchanging or static rhythm structure that usually accounts for anything outside of this structure as "free time" or improvisation. Rhythm becomes dynamic when the rate of tempo change becomes non-zero. Examples of this are the operators ritardando, accelerando and fermatta.

Combining these ideas, the group realized that music is simply one or more frequencies heard at the same time that can cause the development of envelopes and beat patterns. These envelopes, when sounded in time can form rhythm, Rhythm in this sense is defined as a function of amplitude and time.
The goal of this new theory system is to encompass all forms of auditory expression, aptly named Theory of Auditory Expression.

The concept behind the first recordings was that one's subconscious could be stimulated during sleep by music. This was purely a sound experiment. Use at your own risk. Wake Up, Your Dreaming should be listened to by a human being in a relaxed state that wants to become more relaxed.


More recent work includes plans for a DNB album utilizing continuum harmonics and dynamic rhythym.
