Artist Detailed Info: Strange Devotion

Strange Devotion is a solo project originally started by Dominic Butler in 1982. It lasted for less than one year, but began again in 2006. It still retains the ethos of the punk era with raw, simple songs without too much emphasis on staying in key or hitting exactly the right note.

After recording a handfull of new songs time was spent going through old tapes and recovering what few recording and videos existed from 1982 and also creating a Strange Devotion website.

Following on from this, on 16th May 2008 the debut Strange Devotion single was released by Mauerstadtmusik Records. It is a very special limited edition of 500 copies pressed on 7" vinyl with card insert and features the 2 Strange Devotion songs recorded in April 1982 - Again The New Formation b/w Danger Line.

Strange Devotion is currently spending time at a local rehearsal rooms getting up to speed with playing the old songs again.
