Brutal music hailing from the North East of England, Socar were formed in mid to late 2007 by Guitarists Duncan Mountain and Nick Flynn and Drummer Patrick O'Conner, song were written and a Bassist and Vocalist were needed. Both of these positions were filled by Robin Atkinson. A string of gigs and a few basic recordings were made recieving quite a bit of praise in the local area before in March 2008 the band split due to Musical differences.
In mid 2009 after 16 months apart the band decided to put their differences behind them and jam out the old songs, which flowed better than ever, with a few edits to make them heavier and more interesting than ever. New material is in the pipeline and it looks like the only way up from here is up.
