Artist Detailed Info: Smetvis

Smetvis is the Dutch-language incarnation of Smutfish, Melle de Boer's 'country noir' band from The Hague, The Netherlands.

Following three English-language albums under the Smutfish moniker, De Boer asked seventeen Dutch writers and poets to translate a Smutfish songs into Dutch, De Boer's mothertongue. The result was the 2016 album De vis die niet kon zwemmen, which (like many of De Boer's albums) came with a book of drawings.
