the dj known as pyramidhead was introduced to electronic music with producers like leftfield, aphex twin, and orbital in the mid-nineties. not joining the local EDM scene until a few years later, he wandered his own path of discovery on the pre-napster p2p networks of the time.

upon joining the local san francisco dance music scene in 1999, he quickly determined that he had to be a part of this medium of expression- so he picked up a pair of 1200s and a djm-500 and cut his teeth on hard-house records; but it wasn't until he was introduced to the aggressive, fugue-state-inducing sounds of techno by other local djs that he truly found his voice.

a friend from the east coast introduced him to power noise in 2002 and since then a desire to walk the blurry line between the two exhibited itself; live dj gigs came and went as life changes exhibited themselves, and a tour of duty in iraq made him realize this art form is a part of his gestalt. while there he resumed constructing mixes for public consumption with the "sandbox chronicles", a musical documentary of the fear, frustration, anger, and horror of the experience.
