+10 is Jodey G. Kendrick, born in 1977 in York in the north of England, moving to
the south east in 1984, when his parents took over the Eight Bells pub in
Dunstable, Bedfordshire. It was here that Jodey discovered (through boredom and
watching too many videos), MUSIC. His Dad was a big Dirty Harry fan see, and the
music in these films by Lalo Schiffrin contained dirty jazz and funk with
almighty break beats. When Jodey heard this he knew that music was for him. A
few years later with his friend Gary, he bought a crappy compilation cassette
which contained the track "Humanoid" by acid band "Stakker", and once again music
fever took hold. Soon Jodey started tinkering on his C64 computer making basic
tracks, then progressing onto an Amiga 500. Quite a while after, he started
making music on a Roland MC505 and a crappy Boss SP202, which is still used to
this day! Soon analogue fever followed with the purchase of a Sequential Circuits
Pro1, a Borg TB303, a Roland SH09, a Roland TR606, a Roland TR707 and a Roland
TR626 (the last two are digital but circuit bent!!). Other digital gear used is a
Nordlead 2, a Casio CZ3000 and an MFB Sythlite 2. Software used is Logic, MAXMSP
and Supercollider, (the last being one of the best software programs ever - but a
bastard to learn!). +10 is about having fun with all of the above equipment in an
aciddy style.
