MPFW (Morbid Profit for War) Initially started as a joke band to blow off steam in between recordings of several bands, RedSky, NEMO, and Fire at Zero Gravity. Jack Collopy of RedSky/NEMO initiated the MPFW sound around 1997 after his experimentation with electronica on his single "Planet Headbreaker". One year later in 1998, MPFW accidentally started in the bedroom of RedSky co-lead singer Keile Baney's bedroom. MPFW stumbled through a few genres finally landing on Rap.

An unreleased demo included comedy emo-rock-indy-pop-newwave songs like "Love Song", "Everyone Loves Metallica", "Oh, my god it's 1999", "Chris 'n TImmy Show", and "Love Rocks". Several of these songs aired on the college broadcast show members of these bands also produced, The Chris 'n Timmy Show.

MPFW issued their first full length rap CD, self titled Morbid Profit for War, in 2000. Independently released at a Halloween party in Edinboro, PA. The songs were far-reaching sexual parodies of the rap industry and the rap lifestyle. The Second Album was recorded in 2001 to accommodate listener demand. White Collar Criminals, the second album, followed a similar formula of rap parody. So, in 2002, the only officially "produced" album of MPFW, White Collar Criminals, was mastered at Nitro Studios in Erie, PA by Shawn Hammer of RedSky, Flavorich, Calling Blue Skies, Denzel, and numerous other bands. The Efforts behind White Collar Criminals resulted in a local legend. The album was instantly loved & hated.

MPFW had grown a following outside of themselves and their parents. In 2004, the band stripped down to 3 lead rappers Jon Burdick (UNCLE Jonny B), Ben Bowman (B-biddy), and Timm Rensel (OneEye) due to legal issues. well. the other members sort of left the area; so, in 2004 MPFW started the recording of Welcome to Heck. Although never finished several versions of Welcome to Heck survive in various forms in various scenes. The band has never officially broken-up as it has never officially formed.

MPFW has also never sold an album, yet much of their music still circulates throughout North West Pennsylvania, Columbus OH, and parts of Reno, NV (specifically "OneEye's" Apartment). All this considered, MPFW continues to inspire and survive as a rap act and as a lifestyle. or not.
