
History of: The Marsonist
Marsonist is a multi-talented sensational rapper/ singer, songwriter and producer, from Toronto, Canada.
He began his music career in the year 2000, and since then, has been recording, producing and performing his own original music as an independent artist, with a goal for his music to achieve the mainstream status and to become an international artist and performer.
Some of Marsonist’s major influences include: 2pac, Outlawz, Biggie, Dr.Dre, Method Man, Red Man, RZA, Eminem, Akon, Micheal Jackson, Collie Buddz, I-Wayne, Bob Marley, Nirvana, System of the Down, Rage Against the Machine, plus many more.
Marsonist is a very committed, creative and innovative artist with a wide variety of musical influences; which is a major reason why he creates his music using a very fresh and unique style of Hip Hop sound, infused with a mix of R&B, Reggae, Pop, Rock, and also new Dubstep and Drum&Bass influences. Within the content, he portrays many of his own real-life experiences, which are also inspired by the many trials and tribulations of today’s highly diverse society. By utilizing a multi-genre catalogue of songs, his main goal is to collect the maximum number of diverse fans and listeners on a world-wide level.
With his emotionally powerful, engaging tone and his groundbreaking charged stage presence, Marsonist delivers his highly inspirational songs to a wide variety of listeners from many walks of life; and has always appealed to a vast mainstream audience, without sounding cliché or
commercial.
Marsonist’s music has a certain captivating, worldly presence within his content, which can be enjoyed by most people; no matter the age, ethnicity, or culture of his listeners. His universal sound will be, without a question, a major part of the music industry within the near future. CURRENT PROJECTS
In December 2012, The Marsonist has completed his newest mixtape titled “Hell on Earth” (H.O.E). This full length studio mixtape is Produced by The Marsonist and DJ Vast, also will be hosted by DJ DIsspare on Street KIllaz Mixtape, Coast to Coast Mixtapes and other mixtape vendors. The marketing and distribution campaign will kick off with the help of DJ DIsspare, with the hopes of obtaining a distribution deal in order to release the uncut studio version of the mixtape, following the DJ DIsspare version and Music VIdeo release in early 2013.
The mixtape features singles such as “Get Em” featuring legendary recording artist Young Noble of The Outlawz and the late legendry Artist/Actor/Performer 2Pac; and “Rockstar” featuring legendary Canadian artist Choclair, as well as other singles with various other artists like Oli from PHS Ent, Despa, and many more.

Prior to the release of “Hell On Earth” Mixtape, the single “Get em” has been getting a lot of attention in late 2012. On November 15 2012, the song, featuring Young Noble and 2Pac, has been featured on “Outlaw Nation” Mixtape by Young Noble and DJ Outlaw. The hot mixtape featuring various artists and The Outlawz members such as Hussein Fatal and EDI.

Past Musical Achievements
Marsonist’s early interest in music started while attending “Mayfield Secondary School of the Arts” during his high school days (2001-2005), where he graduated with a Regional Arts Letter. He began writing lyrics and performing at local shows in the Toronto area, and working with other local artists and producers during that time. After he graduated from high school, he began to create his own recording studio in his Brampton home, where he started to produce and record his own music, as well as recording and collaborating with other local artists such as Briccs aka Chucky, and Tiggz.
In 2005, Marsonist began collaborating with DJ Vast, a DJ/Producer from Brampton, ON, who began to produce songs for Marsonist, and mentored him through his early musical production development stages. Almost immediately, they became a non-stoppable duo who has, over the years, collaborated on songs together, and have been featured at countless music events and shows in the Toronto Area, such as: Scrape by the Lake in Niagara Falls (2009), Tuners Against Street Racing in Mississauga (2008 and 2009), and many more. They have also been booked at numerous club events in Buffalo and Rochester, NY.
In the summer of 2009, Marsonist and DJ Vast released a Mixtape titled “Marsonist At Large” which featured some of the songs they both have created during their time in the studio. The mixtape was successfully completed and distributed thousands of cd’s and downloads. The entire mixtape was produced, recorded, and engineered by DJ Vast and Marsonist.
In the summer of 2010, Marsonist continued his search for collaborations and to build relations with other local hiphop camps and organizations. He began working and collaborating with James Pew, the founder of Euphonic Sound recording studio in Toronto . Marsonist recorded a number of 5 solo tracks during his time in the studio and also collaborated with other artists. James Pew, along with his team at Euphonic sound, began a campaign titled “United in Flow” in order to bring together some of the most talented local artists that Toronto has to offer.

In December 2010, Marsonist was featured in a cameo for artist/producer GMF, in his music video for his newly released single “Heartache” featuring Casino. The cameo was filmed at Euphonic Sound Studio’s control room in Toronto.
Marsonist was featured on the “United in Flow mixtape Vol.1”, in the song “We Are”, which is available on itunes. On the release date of October 21/2010, he performed live at Club XS in Toronto at the United in Flow Launch Event, which was headlined by Toronto rapper Mindbender Supreme and hosted by Flow 93.5’s Mic Boogie. The show featured over 40 United in Flow artists, drew in a crowd of 1000+ people to support the event, and sold over 100 copies of the mixtape at the show.
