Lex Produca was Born Alexi Bazekis in Maryland. He then briefly migrated to outer space, but was denied entry and forced to hide out in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York State.
His music is tries to incorporate dub music into the jazz continuum with healthy doses of funk and other rhythmically based forms of Western jams as diverse as reggae to 8-bit trilla. Noticeably absent from this electronic music artists' material is an emphasis on samples, as all of the sounds and musical textures heard as Lex Produca are created and recorded by Lex Produca.
He arranges, records, and samples himself and his own material to perform original sets as Lex Produca on the Akai APC40 in combination with other control surfaces.
