Artist Detailed Info: Kingfisha

Kingfisha are a 5 piece reggae band from Brisbane, Australia. They have a wealth of live experience, featuring in some of Brisbane’s most prominent bands over the last five years. Kingfisha have a deep respect for reggae and its origins. They have taken the Jamaican rhythms and infused them with honest songwriting and strong melodies to create their own sound… Honest, Aussie Reggae.
They began as a studio project with Anthony Forrest, Andrew Stephens and Shannon Green, following the disbandment of dub/electro act Promiscuous. In January 2008 Nik Mayer-Miller and Kristina Thomas joined to form the live band. They recorded their debut EP in May which is due out in September.
