In Maths was formed in London, UK in the summer of 2007 by Dave and Jules. They expanded their two-piece by bringing in Elena (drums) and Sonia (bass, cello). Sonia gigged with the band for about a year before leaving to be replaced by James, a old friend of Elena's. The band had briefly enjoyed the sparkle of Howard's guitar too but settled back to a four piece under the new name of In Maths in late 2009, by which time they had settled on something of an electro-indy rock sound.

They all live in London and on www.inmathsmusic.com, though they also pop up on Myspace and Facebook - linked from the official site.
