Artist Detailed Info: Great Hare

Swedish indie band Great Hare traces their roots to the alt rock movement of the 90’s. when singer and guitarist Kalle Mogren fronted Mufflon 5 during three albums, national tours and Peel Sessions. After a long hiatus from music, the desire to marry noise with beautiful pop melodies came back. In 2010, four musician friends reconnected and turned an old loft into a recording studio. Naming ourselves after nocturnal encounters with wild hares, we turn up at nights looking for melodies that want to be turned into songs. There's no plan, we just keep going and sometimes we find songs worth keeping along the way. The good ones arrive like waves hitting a beach or memories we can’t quite place. Fusing new discoveries and old post-punk influences, our songs have been featured on BBC 6, Amazing Radio and music blogs from around the world, streamed over 100.000 times on SoundCloud and received praise from legendary musician and label boss Simon Raymonde.
