Ghost Wars

The origins of Ghost Wars can be traced back to the mid 90s when frontman Arlie Carstens first heard Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock. "Ever since first hearing those albums I’ve wanted to do a project like this, something that has a distinct sound and vision but that is not the work of a specific group of musicians," Arlie said in a September 2005 interview. Carstens, also the frontman of the indie band Juno, together with Eric Fisher (Juno) forms the core of Ghost Wars. Other artists collaborate on individual songs. Other contributors include: Nate Mendel (Sunny Day Real Estate, Foo Fighters, Juno, The Fire Theft), Jason McGerr (Death Cab for Cutie, Juno), David Broecker (Juno, John Vanderslice), Gabe Carter (Juno), Jay Clarke (Pretty Girls Make Graves), Cory Murchy (Minus The Bear), Morgan Henderson (The Blood Brothers), John Davis (Q and Not U), Eric Akre (Treepeople, Heather Duby), Goth Joel (Suffering & the Hideous Thieves) and Drew O'Doherty (ex-Ted Leo & the Pharmacists). Ghost Wars has recorded 22 songs, and made early versions of three of them available on their myspace profile.

They have changed their name to "Atoms and Void" and released an album in 2014 called "And Nothing Else".
