Faintly is an all original Indie/Melodic Piano Rock band from a small town in Wisconsin called Mayville. However, in Fall of 2009 Faintly found refuge in the music loving city of Seattle. Faintly has had their share of obstacles to get over in there fairly short time together as a band. The band originated in 2006 when lead vocalist/keyboardist/songwriter Ian Ketterer found bassist Justin Regner in another band and started practicing and writing together with Justin. After writing for about a year and a half while continuously searching for a drummer and a guitarist Faintly found the missing two members they were looking for. They started a heavy practice routine and felt that they were finally ready to play shows as a full band in December of 2007. Faintly got their first 6 shows booked as a full band and then had to cancel all of them due to a freak hospitalization. Lead vocalist/keyboardist Ian Ketterer had to undergo Open Heart Surgery in February 2008 due to an aortic aneurysm. It was a matter of life or death and it hit the band by surprise since Ian had no clue of his condition. He was 23 at the time. When performing an open-heart surgery doctors must collapse both lungs, therefor Ian had to rebuild both his lungs by doing breathing regiments, this made it difficult to sing for a while. One month after his surgery Ian started re-booking many of the gigs they had to cancel originally, and just two short months after the surgery Faintly was finally playing live. In April of 2009 Faintly headed into a studio in Madison, WI to record a 4 song EP entitled "The A B Theory." Throughout the next few months Faintly went through some lineup changes and currently the only two members are Ian and Justin. They will be relocating the band to Seattle, WA in the Fall of 2009 to pursue music as their career and they're ready to hit the Seattle music scene hard.
Faintly always has been and will continue to be Ian Ketterer and Justin Regner, however past members of Faintly include: Dale Tikkanen, Ian Leigl, and Mason Tikkanen.
