Artist Detailed Info: Dryad

There are at least two artists performing under the name Dryad;

1) A heavy-stoner-rock trio from Würzburg, Germany founded 2016. The band's name is based on the legendary forest nymphs (dryads) of Greek mythology – a fusion of mankind and nature.

In the spirit of this close entanglement, guitarist Alex, drummer Sebastian, and singer/bassist Michael combine their musical skills with well thought-out lyrics and create a mystical atmosphere that is shaped by the influences of Kyuss, Elder, Black Sabbath and MC5.

2) Dryad is a blackened crust / black metal outfit from Iowa City, Iowa, USA formed in 2017. They released their debut EP in 2017, followed by The Silurian Age EP in 2018 and the full-length release The Abyssal Plain in 2023.
