Artist Detailed Info: Derek Olson

In April of 2012 Derek released an eclectic blend of raw, acoustic music in his debut King of the Anthill EP. This is just Derek's first small stepping stone as an artist, and singer-songwriter, though it also marks a strange beginning for him in his pursuit of music and as a contender amongst Independent artists.. Derek's songs range from simple Folk-driven ballads with lyrics that are up-front, and forward, as if taken from a diary, to a more raw, striking Acoustic-Rock. Derek has a voice that is uniquely his own, resonating earlier times with an edge of contemporary madness. Derek neglects setlists or classification to a certain genre, and focuses on the here and now with every performance, and tries to bring that same spontaneous edge to his recordings as well.
