The origin of the Piccolo lies in theaterassociation "Rosier Faasen." The carnaval club and theaterassociation still acted separated, however they had a financial agree. Around 1925 the so-called friends club decided to give the club a name, The Piccolo. In 1928, the Piccolo presented itself as a carnaval club and contribution was there for the first time. The contribution amounted to, very carnavalesk, 11 cents a week. The theaterassociation stopped shortly after the war.
From the beginning, the activities have been aimed at the carnival season. Long, up to 1972, the association was active in "D'n Optocht." In WW II the Piccolo participated as a course group. 10 times the Piccolo won the first price in "D'n Optocht." Lack of time and hand skill forced the club to stop eventually with its participation. Today we are more interested in the musical side. The Piccolo exists at present out of 41 members and 4 honourmembers, with 27 musicians. With this group we are happily-seen-guests within and outside Oeteldonk. The rehearsels are kept Café Lohengrin.
