Artist Detailed Info: Chip Special Software

Chip Special Software was Karsten Schmidt's demoscene handle/alias in the early '90s, before continuing making other electronic music as Audible Matter. Active as a coder and party organizer, he started creating chiptunes for his own Atari XL/XE demos (and that of others) in 1990. His last act under the CSS banner was a commercial port of The Lemmings game onto the 8bit Atari platform in 1993. Apart from the few tracks found in various Atari archives online, most of his unreleased material has been lost due to data erosion of the floppy disks the songs were stored on and lack of any other recorded versions.
