Amber Run

Amber Run are a British indie rock band from Nottingham, consisting of Joshua Keogh, Tom Sperring, and Henry Wyeth. The band have released three studio albums, three mini-albums, and five EPs. They were initially called Amber but changed their name to avoid conflict with a Dutch dance-pop singer of the same name.

Joshua Keogh, Tom Sperring, and Will Jones originally formed an alternative rock band while attending Dr Challoner's Grammar School in Buckinghamshire. They later met Felix Archer from the same area and Henry Wyeth from Kent while studying at the University of Nottingham. All members initially pursued degrees in humanities and law but left their studies to focus on the band. Keogh had previously performed as a solo artist before the group formed.

Amber Run appeared on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading Festival in 2013, which was their fourth live performance. This exposure led to interest from A&R representatives, and the band subsequently signed with RCA Records.

On 14 February 2014, Amber Run released their first EP, "Noah," followed by their second EP, "Spark," on 18 April 2014, after supporting Kodaline on tour. Their third EP, "Pilot," was released on 19 September 2014. In early 2014, they recorded their debut album with producers Mike Crossey and Sam Winfield. In July and August 2014, the band released videos for the singles "I Found" and "Pilot." On 1 December 2014, Amber Run announced the release of "Just My Soul Responding" as the lead single from their debut album. The single was released on 5 January 2015, and the album, "5am," was issued on 20 April 2015. Felix Archer left the band in early 2016. On 15 April 2016, they released the single "Haze."

In 2016, Amber Run released "Stranger" as the first single from their second album, "For a Moment, I Was Lost," followed by "Perfect" in February 2017. The album was released digitally on 10 February and physically on 17 March 2017. The singles "The Weight" and "Heaven Is a Place" were released in March and April 2018, respectively. On 11 May 2018, the band issued the EP "The Assembly," which included these singles along with "Amen" and a version featuring London Contemporary Voices.

Between November 2018 and September 2019, Amber Run released five singles—"Carousel," "Affection," "Neon Circus," "The Darkness Has a Voice," and "What Could Be as Lonely as Love"—leading up to their third album, "Philophobia," released on 28 September 2019. On 26 June 2020, they released an unplugged EP featuring six songs from "Philophobia." On 4 November 2021, they released the mini-album "The Search (Act I)," the first in a trilogy, followed by "The Start (Act II)" on 3 June 2022. The singles "Cradle" and "Funeral" were released on 22 July and 2 September 2022, respectively, before the final mini-album in the trilogy, "The Hurt (Act III)," on 2 November 2022. Amber Run announced that their next full-length album, "How to Be Human," would be released in April 2023, accompanied by a UK tour from 13 to 20 April 2023.
