A World Extinct is a metalcore band from southern California. AWE takes influences from many different bands both in and out of its own genre.

After the departure of a few members of their previous band, the members of A World Extinct decided to start anew. David(drums) and Ian(lead guitar) already had a few years of experience of playing in a band together. They added Alex(guitar), and later Darrell(bass), to come play in their previous band. Following the aforementioned departure of their vocalist, the four decided to start again with Justin Torres leading as the band's new frontman.

Their debut EP "Out of the Ashes" released 7/17/2015 and is available for free via their bandcamp page linked above.
