Vaccination were founded after Richard Winstanley (beats, guitars) placed an advert online looking for artists "willing to piss off audiences". Among the initial respondents were Daniel Borges (vocals) and Alcuin Edwards (dulcitar and vocals), both of whom met Richard minutes before the band's first gig on 30 January 2010 at an Internet Radio station in North London.
