Artist Info: Wonderlust

Wonderlust hails from Amsterdam and was founded by Marike Groot (ex-Gathering / Little Mary Big / Mae West) in 2005. She is accompanied by Sander Brink and Mike Voors -- who knew each other from their teens and were somehow brought together again.

The band set off to Spain the next year, for a week's long rehearsal session at Jan Pijnenburg's (from Doe Maar fame) residence... And a surprise gig at a local bar.

What they play is rock alright, but with influences ranging from new wave to punk to shoegaze to pop music. [read more...]
