„Treibsand“ (German for „quicksand“) is a one-man-darkwave-gothic-project from Münster in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

In the year of 2004 Treibsand was founded by Yann, who had served as guitarist and singer in various New-Metal Bands in the area of the Bavarian Freising. After the first attempts in the own recording studio, the first song “Blade Edge” was released in early 2005.
