Artist Info: The Poconos

The Poconos was a short-lived Hoboken, NJ band consisting of Mike Appelstein and Tami Heaton, with occasional help from Chris McFarlane on drums. They formed in 1996, played a bunch of shows and recorded some tracks in 1997, and broke up the next year. Jigsaw Records released their only 7", Days Are Getting Shorter, in the spring of 1999. They were part of a small group of friends/bands from the greater NYC area that included Kumari, The Receptionists, The I Live The Life Of A Movie Star Secret Hideout, Mad Planets and Best Wishes.
