Artist Info: The Common Men

The Common Men were formed as a solo project by Kevin Ian in 2005 but was finally realized as a working band in mid 2006.

The band first started out as a strictly Post-Punk outfit, drawing heavily from Interpol, Moving Units, Franz Ferdinand, and Joy Division. As the years have passed, the band has managed to blur the lines of influences. Now included are elements of Riot Grrl, Shoegaze, and Harsh Noise... all while keeping a foot firmly planted in Pop sensibilities. [read more...]
