State River Widening is the London, UK-based instrumental trio made up of David Sheppard, Keiron Phelan and John Steele. Formed in 1998 and named after the title of a Chinese propaganda photo, the band has released three full lengths on both the Rocket Girl and Vertical Form labels, as well as singles on Gold Hole and German label Beau Rivage.
