Serokolo No. 7, a 27-year-old producer, DJ, and sound-system operator is widely regarded as the OG of the current form of Mapanta. Around 2011, Serokolo No. 7 played a key role in bringing Mapanta back, not by preserving it as folklore, but by reinventing it for the present.
