Born in Mexico, Quantum Machina (formerly Macaco’s Nanosound Stockastheuristic Quantum Machina) is an independent artist who works mainly with electronic manipulation of sounds.
First album Casa (2005) uses only sounds recorded in a simple house with a microphone and digitally manipulated, without usage of any conventional musical instrument.
Second album Cité (2008) follows the same technique as Casa, using only sounds recorded in the city and manipulated electronically, without usage of conventional musical instruments. [read more...]
