Pradeep Rathnayake is a sitarist. His signature style of music of fusing many world of music together, drawing inspiration from indian clasical music, western classical, jazz and popular, often using his foundation, folk melodies of his own country. The Sri Lankan flavour is something which characterizes his music - and gives credence to his effort to create a new identity for his sitar.
