French guitarist Philippe Villa is a specialist of the Romantic repertory, and frequently performs on both Romantic and modern instruments at his concerts.In 1991, Villa won the Gold Medal Award at the Bordeaux International Festival of Young Soloists, and a year later was unanimous acclaimed winner of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation competition.
