Artist Info: Mzee Kiki

Mzee Kiki or Bwana Kiki started with Ibrahim Mtumwa and David Marame a music workshop called the Watafiti (Researchers from Kiswahili) in 1986. This first 'fusion' group in Tanzania assisted by the Embassy of the Netherlands, composed some eight songs using traditional ethnic music from various parts of the country and transforming it in pop- and jazz-inspired contemporary style.
