Artist Info: Mitch Weiss

Born and raised in New York City, Mitch, a self-taught musician, began performing professionally in 1971 in Ithaca, N.Y., but soon moved on to Chicago where his original jazz and blues compositions blended with the Latin rhythm section of the "New Earth Rhythm Band." They were regulars on the home-grown music scene at the Quiet Knight and Wise Fools Pub, playing clubs and colleges throughout the Midwest, later recording on the first Best Of Chicago Hometown album.
