Artist Info: Meta International

In 1997 Meta was the first ever (not [fully] operated) transgender character on the longest running Dutch soap opera Goede tijden, Slechte tijden (Good Times, Bad Times). Her for that time controversial storyline only ran for a few months in the 7th season of the show.

The show and it's pressumed lack of acting quality was mocked on a famous TV show for kids, called Telekids. Their spoof version of the soap opera 'Pittige Tijden' (Spicy Times) featured their interpretation of the Meta character, portrayed by Carlo Boszhard. [read more...]
