Artist Info: Melinoe

Melinoe was founded in Oberhausen, Germany, in the winter of 2021 by Sturm (lead guitar) together with two other musicians. The initial aim was to create melancholic atmospheric Black Metal, but early personal and musical differences resulted in the departure of the other members.

Sturm temporarily continued Melinoe alone. During this period he composed new material and redefined the band’s musical direction, moving away from post-black metal influences and returning to the more raw, Scandinavian-inspired Black Metal of the 1990s. [read more...]
