Artist Info: Lazimba

Leighton Brown, a.k.a. Lazimba “The Kingston Lion” is a sing-jay, guitarist and song writer born in Kingston, Jamaica and currently lives both in Germany and Jamaica. He grew up between the home of the late Bob Marley and the Sandy Park community off Hope Road, in the musical Mecca. The tension between the Kingston ‘Upper Class’ and the inspiring roughness of the ghetto motivated Lazimba to write his own songs from a tender age, and he also learned guitar riffs from “Busy” a musician who now plays with Ziggy Marley.
