Influenced by many different genres of music including inspirational, jazz, reggae, R&B, classical, and Hawaiian Island, Laga started developing his own unique flavor in creating, performing and recording music. As the drummer for the group "Hot Rain," Laga started composing music at an early age. His musical influences include Brian McKnight, Beres Hammond, Lucky Dube, Lukie D, Smokey Norful, J.
