Artist Info: Kokumo

KOKUMO (pronounced "koh-koo-mah", meaning "this woman will not die" in Yoruba) is a black trans activist and artist hailing from Chicago. She has released one album, Writing's On The Wall, and one EP, There Will Come A Day. Her production company, KOKUMOMEDIA, utilizes multiple mediums in its mission to shine a greater light on the experiences and struggles faced by trans, gender non-conforming, and/or intersex people of color.
