Artist Info: Idioflux

Idioflux is the experimental musical project of James Mitchell from Portland, OR. His first EP, "With Flying Colors", is an instrumental, melodic mixture of cinematic post-rock, glitch electronica, and icelandic influences. The result is a playful, sometimes epic mesh of chopped beats and layers of colorful instrumentation (guitars, melodica, strings, synths, rhodes, glockenspiel, vibraphone, etc.) The EP was released on the Seattle-based DIY label Community Work Effort on CD in early 2008, and is now out of print.
