
Hovland (band) was a Pittsburgh indie rock outfit in the mid 1990's and early 2000's. There were a couple of variations on the lineup, but the singer, guitarist, and songwriter, Corey Layman (Developer, Karl Hendricks Trio, Line Forms, and Red Star Sky) was consistent throughout. The original lineup featured Layman and Matt Griffin (Early Day Minors) on drums. Soon bassist Ephraim Hill was added to the lineup and after a couple of cassette tape releases Matt Griffin was replaced on drums by Mark Carlisle. [read more...]
