Fred Ocean is an Ivorian music producer who was born in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. From a young age, he was drawn to electronic music, which set him apart in a local culture dominated by genres like coupé décalé, zouglou, and hip-hop. This passion led him to be considered an outsider by some.
