Artist Info: Dr Mikey

In a French ghetto on the north side of Paris, a star was born to the City of Lights. Dr. Mikey represents global French culture—his mother is from Guadeloupe, his father is from French Guiana—and he speaks French, Creole, and English fluently.

At age 14, a serious accident left him unable to walk. Fighting to rehabilitate two broken hips, he moved from Paris to the jungle of St. Laurent du Maroni, Guiana, with his father. There he found his love for music. [read more...]
