Dead Formats is Tim Harris. Currently based in London, dividing his time between studying sound, recording sound and experimenting with compositional techniques and processes.

The idea behind the Dead Formats mantle is to experiment with formats, tools, sounds and noise often discarded by our fast moving society, to create pieces that, whilst retaining a musical and melodic value, are often made up from the imperfections and constraints of older, 'inferior', recording formats.
