After teaching himself guitar from song books and failed attempts at playing Iron Maiden songs on a Spanish guitar, David learned how to play properly and cut his teeth musically in the (world famous) Happy Return pub in Nottingham, whose now legendary open-mic nights have produced many many amazing artists (check out Gren Bartley, seriously) and many equally excellent ensembles, songs and pieces of music, most of whch were forgotton because they were written at 4am when everyone was drunk.
