
Cornelius Rigo de Bergis (also known as Cornelis Rigo de Bergis) was a Renaissance composer active in the early sixteenth century. Almost nothing certain is known about his life today; his reputation rests on a tiny surviving catalogue preserved in manuscript sources. Two works are securely transmitted under his name: the Latin motet Cum audisset Job and the Dutch chanson Mijn hert altijt heeft verlanghen, copied into major early-sixteenth-century collections including Florence’s Basevi Codex (MS Basevi 2439) and Munich’s BSB Mus.ms. 1516.
