This name can refer to two difference artists:

Chris Carpenter is a relatively obscure singer from Detroit who only ever released one single. “This World (Is Closing In On Me)” / “Waterfalls” was initially released by the band Preston in the mid-’60s, and was re-released by Carpenter three times on three different labels. “This World (Is Closing In On Me)” is a very atmospheric piece of psychedelia.
